- Locate the Reset button on your WiFi extender.
- Get access to a pin-like device or paper clip.
- Press and then release the button using the pin.

- Launch a web browser on your device.
- Type the default web address mywifiext.net in the address bar and hit Enter.
- People using iOS devices are advised to access the login page of their extender via mywifiext local.
- As soon as you reach on the Extender login page, you'll be asked to enter your credentials.
- So, do the same. Here, default credentials will work.
- If you don't know the default credentials, check them out from the manual you got while purchasing your Netgear extender.
- After entering the details, hit Log In.
- Hitting the button will redirect you to the Netgear Genie Smart Setup Wizard.
- To make you familiar, this is the dashboard of your extender.

- Make sure your web browser is updated to the latest version.
- If mywifiext is not supporting your current browser and showing an error message, then switch to another browser. You can choose between Safari, Edge, Chrome, Mozilla and Internet Explorer as per the availability as well as your preference.
- Clear cache, cookies, and browsing history from the browser you are using to access the extender login page.
- Keep both your router and extender in the same room and in close proximity. However, later (after setup) you can relocate your extender as per your needs and requirements.
- If you have used an Ethernet cable to connect your devices, then check it properly for cuts. If any, replace it with the new one.
- Keep your extender away from devices that can create interference like baby monitors, microwaves, refrigerators, cordless phones, Bluetooth devices, etc.
