earphones mic on PC

Under normal circumstances, the computer can hear the sound after plugging in the earphone. Sometimes the computer only has earphones but no microphone. Is there any way to use earphones as microphones? Of course there are methods, just simply set it up, let me introduce it to everyone below.

Basically, a mic or headset with a mic is priced at various prices. So, if you want to find a cheap one, it's actually quite easy.

But did you know? You can also make a headset without a mic into a mic, you know. Yes, as I want to discuss here.

To make the headset as a mic is not a new thing. This has been discussed quite often on technology websites, both at home and abroad.

Even I myself if I didn't know it since 2012, or maybe even longer than that.

In addition, this trick can also be used for all computers and laptops, whether it's using the Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 10 OS versions.

What need to be prepared ?

Before starting, of course you have to prepare what is needed first.

Actually, we don't need any weird equipment here. Just prepare a headset or earphones . Can use what is usually used for HP.

If you don't have one, you can buy it at a gadget accessories shop or cell phone counter. No need to buy expensive ones. The most affordable maybe around 10 thousand to 20 thousand.

How to Turn a Headset into a Mic ?

Here are the steps to take to turn a headset into a mic:

Step 1 : First, please first connect the mic that has been prepared to the mic port on your PC or laptop.

Notes:

For laptops there are usually two ports . One for the headset and one for the mic . Please choose the one with the mic logo (mostly red).

For PCs there are usually three ports . Please connect to the port with red color.

Step 2 : Once connected, go to Control Panel > Hardware And Sounds > Sounds.

Step 3 : Next, please swipe down. If the headset is properly connected, it should read a mic in the window.

Notes:

Also, keep in mind that the mic must display a green checkmark (see image above).

This sign indicates that the mic is ready to use.

Step 4 : Now, we move on to setting it up. First, go to the Recording tab , then right-click on Microphone , then click Properties .

Step 5 : Next, click the Listen tab , then tick Listen to This Device.

Step 6 : In the same place, next go to the Levels tab . Set the Microphone and Microphone Boost settings to maximum.

Step 7 : After that, click Apply , then Click OK .

Please close all the windows earlier, and test talk or blow your headset.

If the settings are correct, then the headset should have turned into a mic.
