Recently, it is revealed by Sega and Artistic Meeting that The Silence and the Fury, and Total War: Warhammer 2 Lords Pack is going to return with some extra surprises. It has now been disclosed that Ogre mercenaries are coming to the game for free. They also hinted at more surprises to come.
The new Total War: Warhammer 2 Lords Pack is scheduled to arrive on July 14. Alongside that, there will be the Ogre Mercenaries pack which will be available for free for registered users.
This means the Ogres are coming to the Warhammer series for the first time. They will come in the form of mercenaries. For instance, a hireable unit that will fight on your side as long as you retain them watered, fed, paid, and in a fight.
Ogre camps show up whenever an “act of destruction” takes place, as explained by Creative Assembly. It pops up whenever there are sieges, battles, settlement sacking, and something similar.
You have the option to interact with the camps with the help of your army. After which you get to select the tribe you want and set their pay. If you don’t want to pay then you can use Nemo Trainer to get free resources. Once they are available, you can hire them into your chosen army and keep them happy, so that they stay beside you.
There are a total of five units on the way overall, which are available in three main types. Ogres are “brutish, big, and super violent.” So you can use their size to their advantage. They have skills like siege attacking, bull charge, and monstrous infantry. They have the power to make enemies shake in fear.
There are two main variants including dual weapon and mace-wielding. The former adds a bonus stat against infantry for some serious rampages.
Ogre Maneaters are veteran mercenaries with years of battle experience. They usually come in small bands and tend to carry different kits from each other. This allows them to showcase an array of combat techniques and weapons.
The two variants include the Ogre pistol. Their strengths come with a hybrid monstrous unit with both the variants being immune to psychology. The pistol-wielding version can fire while moving. Not just that, but they can also weaken enemies before making contact. The great weapon Maneater receives the usual bonuses for charging against large units.
So these are coming to Total Warhammer 2 for free. The studio also seems to have plans for Ogres.
