- Log in to the UIDAI official portal and go to the section named “Aadhaar online card services.”
- Now, in the menu, you will see one option as “Download Aadhaar.” Click this option and enter all the required information such as; the Aadhaar number, Full name, Pin code, and security code.
- After entering all the details accurately, you need to select “request OTP,” and once you receive the OTP, enter it in the provided box.
- Now, you can download your e-Aadhar. However, you will need a password to do the aadhar card download, and the password will always be the 1st four letters (capital letters) of your name and your birth year.
To download your e-Aadhaar card by name and
date of birth, follow the following steps.
- Visit the Aadhaar portal https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/retrieve-eid-uid.
- Once you are on the portal, enter your full name, registered mobile number or email Id, and the security code.
- Click the button “send OTP (one-time password),” and you will receive an OTP.
- The OTP you received on your mobile number must be entered
- Once you enter the OTP, click on the button “Verify OTP.”
- You will obtain a message on your mobile number wherein your Aadhar number or enrollment ID is given.
- After getting the Aadhaar number or enrollment ID, you need to visit the official UIDAI website.
- Now, enter the 12-digit Aadhar number or 28-digit enrollment ID, Security code.
- Click the button “send OTP.”
- Enter the OTP that you received on the registered mobile number and click the button “verify and download” to download your e-Aadhaar.

- Enter your VID (virtual ID) and security code and click the button “send OTP” to receive an OTP

To download an e-Aadhaar card by the enrolment
number (EID), follow the below steps.
- Visit the portal www.uidai.gov.in
- Click the option “Download Aadhaar.”
- Once you click this option, the system will redirect you to the website https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/genricDownloadAadhaar.
- Once you are on the above website, you will see the Aadhaar card download form.
- Enter your 28-digit EID (enrolment number) and security code and click the button “send OTP” to receive an OTP
- The OTP will be sent to the mobile number you registered. You'll need to enter your OTP and click "Verify and Download."
- Now you will have your e-Aadhar card.
