All the Netgear orbi devices like routers and satellites have two lights. First is Power LED light and second one is Ring LED light. These lights describe the current status of the router and satellite. Every LED light has its own meaning. Solid Green

When the Orbi devices going to turn on

Solid Amber

Troubleshooting Tips to Fix Different LEDs Issues

Amber light Issues

The satellite displays an amber light once the Orbi router has successfully synced the satellite. This LED light shows that there is a poor connection between the router and the satellite.To resolve this issue follow the steps:

1.       Keep the satellite near to the router. And reset the satellite.

2.       Perform the Syncing process again.

3.      If it is possible, connect the satellite to the router with help of Ethernet Cable.

Red LED Light Means

If your Orbi Router show Red light, means that your router needs to troubleshoot. To solve this issue follow the below given steps:

1.       Make sure that your router getting full power supply.

2.       Plug out the router and plug in it to another power socket.

3.       Ensure that your router properly connected to the modem.

4.       Check all the Ethernet Cables and ports carefully, not any cable or port damage. If there is any damage, repair it.

5.      Reset your router to restore default factory settings.

Resolve Solid Pink And Pulsing Pink

Solid Pink – When your router indicate Solid Pink light that means there are connection issue between router and the satellite. The satellite is not getting the IP address from the router.

Pulsing Pink – Pulsing light blink when the syncing process takes more than one minute to connect with the router. Follow the steps to fix it:

1.       Restart the Orbi satellite, even after this it did not get fixed. Restart the network.

2.       Connect satellite to the router with help of Ethernet.

3.       Update all the firmware updates of the Orbi router and the satellite.

4.      If you are connect satellite to the router wirelessly. Keep the satellite closer to the router.

Orbi Purple Light

Purple light and Pink light indicate almost same problem. Many users are confused between Purple or pink lights. Some satellite show pink light and some show purple. To resolve Pink light, follow the steps given below:

1.       Purple light blink when there is any software glitch. Reboot the router and the satellite.

2.       Check the WAN ports on the modem and also check the Ethernet cables are fitted properly.

3.       Reset the router and the satellite, put the paper clip into the pinhole for reset.
