Two Ways to Setup Netgear WiFi Router

1.       Firstly plugin the router at the centred location of your house with the working wall socket.

2.     Now, you have to connect the router to the modem by using Ethernet cable. Just simply, insert the one end into the LAN port of modem and other end into the WAN port of router. And make sure connection is secured, as loose connection can lost its connectivity.

3.  After ensuring the connection between the router and modem, open the web browser and type routerlogin.net or 192.168.1.1 and press enter. You will be prompted to the login page; here you have to enter the username and password. For that you can check the bottom of your Netgear router’s label.

4.     Once you entered the credentials, Netgear Smart Genie Setup Wizard dashboard will appear to you. In the dashboard, you have to follow the on-screen instruction for setup. You can set the SSID and password of Router WiFi network, by these credentials you can connect with the WiFi network.

5.   In the end, you have to save all the settings. Check for the firmware update and then your setup is completed.

Using Nighthawk App

You can use this method, if you are unable to access the routerlogin.net admin page.

1.     Firstly, unlock your Smart phone and download the NIGHTHAWK APP. This app is available for both the iOS and Android devices. If you already have an app, then make sure its update before the configuration process.

2.      Open the Nighthawk App and create your Netgear account. After creating an account, log in to the app. App will ask you to select your Router model number from the list. Select your router model number. If you don’t know the model number then you can check that from the router’s box, in which router is came.

3.     Now, simply follow the on-screen instructions on your Smart phone to setup the router. You can set the SSID and password of Router WiFi network, by these credentials you can connect with the WiFi network.

4.       In this way, your Netgear Router WiFi setup using Nighthawk app is completed.
